What I do

I offer a range of services tailored to the needs of the people and organisations I work with.

Facilitation & capability building

  • This includes:

    • Working alongside teams – embedded support that builds capability over time, not just one-off training

    • Designing and facilitating workshops – planning sessions, decision-making processes, visioning, and strategy workshops tailored to your group's needs

    • Multi-stakeholder facilitation – bringing together people from different backgrounds, sectors, or organisations to build shared understanding and work through complexity together

    • Learning programs and training – building skills and knowledge through structured learning

    • Networked learning – designing cross-site or cross-organisation learning and exchange

    • Tool and resource development – co-creating practical guides, templates, and frameworks with the people who'll use them

Research, engagement & knowledge translation

  • This includes:

    • Literature reviews and desktop research – bringing together what's already known from academic sources, existing data, and documents

    • Qualitative, applied, and participatory research – in-depth interviews, focus groups, and conversations designed with and for the people and communities it aims to benefit

    • Stakeholder and community engagement – structured conversations, consultations, and yarning circles to understand different viewpoints and priorities

    • Mapping and sense-making – understanding what matters to people, how things connect locally, and helping groups interpret complex information together

    • Gap analysis – understanding where you are now and what's needed to reach your goals

    • Translating findings into practical recommendations – turning research into guidance people can actually use

    • Reports, briefs, and visual summaries – clear documentation of findings in written and visual formats

Project & operational support

  • This includes:

    • Project coordination and management – keeping work on track, managing timelines, and coordinating people and tasks

    • Logistics and operations in complex environments – making things happen in remote and complex contexts

    • Systems assessment and improvement – reviewing how things work and identifying practical improvements

    • Documentation and internal systems – setting up processes for how teams share information, track decisions, and capture how things are done

Business development & resourcing

  • This includes:

    • Funding strategy and landscape analysis – identifying what's available, what you're eligible for, and planning how to resource your work over time

    • Grant writing and applications – preparing compelling, well-evidenced funding submissions

    • Proposals, prospectuses, and stakeholder communications – documents that communicate your work to funders, partners, investors, and supporters

    • Partnership scoping and development – identifying potential partners and building the foundations for collaboration

    • Long-term income and community wealth – identifying pathways to sustainable revenue and supporting communities to build, own, and benefit from local assets and enterprises

    • Investment readiness – helping organisations prepare for different types of funding and investment

Advisory & governance

  • This includes:

    • Strategic advice and thought partnership – thinking through options, priorities, and direction; a sounding board for complex questions over time

    • Governance and board support – helping boards and committees function well, including meeting preparation, registers, minutes, Director IDs, and resolutions

    • Governance training coordination – identifying and organising appropriate training for board members and staff

    • Compliance support – navigating regulatory requirements (e.g. CATSI Act, ORIC, ACNC)
